The line up in this video, filmed late 66 onward is Mike Pender and John Mc Nally on guitars; Frank Allen on Bass and (I think) John Blunt on drums. McNally replaced Tony Jackson on bass in 1964 and Blunt replaced Chris Curtis on drums in 1966 - it was Pender; McNally; Jackson and Curtis in 1963 when they had their first number1. The Searchers still tour today with McNally and Allen prominent in the line up along with Spencer James on guitar and Scott Otway on drums. Still a great live act

Nice, thanks for posting

The searchers were a great group with a very distintive sound. What a shame Tony Jackson had to leave the group , especially because he had such a hard life, away from the group.

what a great group from the fab 60's---always loved the Searchers because of their great harmonies. To bad you will never have bands like this group again.

John Lennon once expressed his opinion that "Sweets For My Sweet" was the finest song to come out of Liverpool in the 60's, high praise from an even higher source! RIP John, long live The Searchers and The Mersey Beat! Rock On Shindiggers! P.S. The B side of this: "It's All Been A Dream" is also very good!
