With his faithful cat Jess by his side, Postman Pat is dedicated to carrying out his duties, delivering the mail to the villagers of Greendale.
But on this particular day he accidentally sits on his glasses and breaks them. Of course, not having visited the Greendale branch of Specsavers he doesnt have a spare pair. Undeterred, our hero declares to a surprised Jess, that Duty calls, starts up his distinctive bright red van, and heads off on his round
The ad was written by Specsavers Creatives Simon Bougourd and Neil Brush, and directed by Darren Walsh of comparethemeerkat fame. It was filmed using a 16mm camera and painstaking stop animation techniques, to give it that authentic 1980s look. There is a 30-second version and this 40-second version.
We hope you enjoy it.

Interesting look at the ad, although I have to note that Jess is a male cat.

@Forgotentruths Lol ok then, just thought you should know also you used the wrong "your"... it's "you're" :P but then you probably used your keen sense of sight to pick up on that already ;)

@Forgotentruths Nope, check it again. There are two groups of sacks. He does collect a Veg sack which is next to the Mail ones. Then at 0:17 you see the other two Veg sacks sitting there also that weren't in the original shot. Bit of an observation fail on your part :D
