Christ does not condone us to torture or murder those who practice witchcraft. what you speak of is the product of man.

Yes, you just gave the standard excuse of, "Well, those people aren't TRUE Christians." I'm sorry but such excuse doesnt cut it. They are Christians and they do kill, hurt, and torture people.

Even Constantine himself, the man who made Christianity the state religion of Rome and paved the way for today's Christianity, refused to get baptised until he was near death because he knew he needed to murder, torture, and hurt people. He had his own son executed.

constantine monopolized christianity, because true christianity at the time was a threat to his empire. not to mention the countless amounts of traditional paganism that he incorporated just, so he could retain his support. The church actually made it illegal to read the bible.

Yes, I am aware of that. What I'm getting at is that the excuse of "They're not TRUE Christians" is ridiculous. By using such excuse, one always makes a false religion appear to be blameless, and such excuse is used by believers only, an indication of the biased thought patterns of believers. The truth is that many evils have been done in the name of Christinaiy, just as they have been done in that name of many other religions.

then christians need to weed out what true christianity is. which is not a religion, but a personal relationship with God. from the inside, the thought of "destroying christianity" because of the heinous acts that someone has done "in the name of the lord", is completely nonsensical. as you completely negate all the good, which has come from christianity. charitable orgs, abolitionist movement, foreign aid. jacob riis, and his fight against poverty, MLK.

Currently there are more secular charities than religious charities.

The biblical God is not against abortion and there are many bible passages which God ordains the death of babies, usually as punishment for the sins of the parents or people. One passage even speaks of bashing babies to death against rocks.

There are more securar sources of foreign aide than religious sources.

The bible, as a whole is offensive. The evil in the bible outweighs the good.

i'm sorry for saying that there's such a thing as a pseudo-christian. someone who follows a God which is subjective to the individual rather than the other way around.

Ugh, looking back on it, I feel somewhat sick for suggesting that a Bible with a 50-page forward would be even remotely analogous to a 50-page forward to the Origin of Species. What I would need to do instead is use the Bible as a forward to the collected sum total of research publications on this history of evolution.
