I would not do an all motor build on a KA24. A built KA with higher compression, cams, exhaust, CAI, will net somewhere around 205-220HP. IMO Nissan's NA engines are meh. If they built their NA engines more like Honda then I could see an NA build. Nissan turbo engines seems to be where they really tried hard at.

    DN1 Cobalt Green Pearl

  • @Cwrigh25 what i really mean is that i prefer to pay less for a s14 with a ka24 and do an all motor build instead of paying a lot for one that already has a sr20 from factory and is low mileage... in some cases, when the car hasn´t been well cared, you probably will have to do it, same as a ka24. that´s it.

  • @Cwrigh25 i don´t think so, a good example like this cost a lot here. hugo owns this car since 2003 or some thing like that, and cars like this are really expensive. my red s14a one cost me 12.000 euros (15400 usd more or less) totally stock back in december 2009 with 65k km (around 40k miles) and now is 87k km (54k miles) with dealer maintenance book since new. There in the states you must run an aftermarket ecu with specific tune for a sr20, because of the quality of the fuel

  • @andreynfs hahaha well, in all countries we have good and bad things you know? there is always some thing you envy or want to do but you can´t and some things taht you can catually alowed to do and to be proud of it. there is no way that i go out of spain, only when i´m on holidays. i love my country and people sooo badly! that it´s a little price i´ve got to pay. me thinks LOL´´

  • @skakeao85

Wow. I wish we could have gotten this in the states instead of the 240sx.

  • @skakeao85 oh wow man, thats crazy how do u guys live there lol u should move to US.

  • @andreynfs cars like a s14 are very hard to maintain here because of the cost. so no "crazy" mods here, we tend to leave it as stock as possible: OEM or nearly OEM exterior, with maybe some jdm bits like jdm rear spoiler, jdm style grill, aftermarket struts with lowering springs... coilovers are rare too, catback, de cat pipe, aftermarket eshaust manifold (all of this with the stock-oem engine, thanks to god that is the sr20!) s15 steering wheel... gtr seats... too jdm as you can see

  • @andreynfs On the other hand, engine swaps and extreme modifications aren´t allowed even with an engineer proyect, roll cages, backets... in addition, we have almost no big v8 engines and motors with turbo or more than 3000 cm3 are rare, but not small engines and low-consumption ones, because the 95 octane pump gas is 1.50 euros per litre and 98 octane is 1.60 can you imagine? crazy... isn´t it? it is widely used diesel engines (about 70% of the cars here are turbo diesel ones)

  • @andreynfs It is something similar to what you say, it is a theme that is quite complicated. Our cars have to pass an annual check up that guarantee the good condition and the car perform the way it should, they check corrosion, lights, cat and emmision test, suspension, brakes, belts, seats... everything. on the one hand, there are some mods that they allow us to do, as long as they are approved (and most people don´t have these mods approved) and you have to pay for it, of course
