Spain celebrated 400 years this year of the massacres that took place between 1610-1614 and many debates and even films/ documentaries were released to acknowledge the crimes that were committed against Spanish Muslims (Moriscos).

the Moriscos who were deported to North Africa will later ally themselves to Barbary Turks in a war with Spain and its allies because of the crimes committed against them.

If you want to learn History you have to dig deeper otherwise you understand nothing

Google for paintings of "pere oromig" who witnessed the massacres against Spanish Muslims and how Phillip 3 of Spain killed 10.000 unarmed men women and children and later bragged about it saying " we killed 10.000 Moriscos and the only casualty we had is one soldier who had his armory broken !

Google for the paintings and you'll see women throwing themselves off cliffs with their babies in their arms to escape torture and rape.!

Just go and Google for "Pirates" or privateers and see what list you come up with!

Every single state in Europe was practicing it even against each other ... the war between the Barbary states and Europe started after the inquisition annihilated the entire Islamic kingdoms of Europe ..Spain, south Italy, sicily, sardinia, corsica..etc were all predominately Muslim they were all forced to covert, killed or exiled!
