  • That's so wonderful that he said that: don't just focus on one part of the body. Many say focus on the tip of your nose. Actually, the Buddha said to feel the breath tranquilizing the body! Like this guy says, feel the body "Filled with light!" That's such a wonderful and wakeful image!

  • This man's stare is unnerving. He must practise a LOT.

  • Would like to develop the fixed gaze you have. Thank you for this informational series.

  • You sir are clearly an evolved being!

  • For sleepiness, I might meditate with my face to the sun or a lamp. Melatonin is released in the mind when there no light the opposite is also true. So, meditating in complete darkness would need the most concentration.

  • The initial reason I got into meditation was to help my concentration to learn and preform music. Now my interest is much deeper then that, what a pleasant surprise.

  • @Jacob4710 Yes. But taking the breath as your meditation object is the most common and most advisable as the breath is connected with your body. When the breath calms down the body calms down. You can contemplate this connection while meditation. You can also have insights that it is not you who is actually doing the breathing. It is the body that breaths. There is no "you" in there doing the act. The Buddha advised on breath meditation in the Anapanasathi sutta.

  • @silkysoulable Can you use materialistic pysical objects, some people use a model of the Buddha himseld don't they? But this object doesn't have to symbolise anything important, and you shouldn't have sentimental feelings towards it? It's just something to help you focus your mind isn't it?

  • I love your videos. Thank you for posting them. Are you planning on posting any more? Your demeanor is so peaceful.
