Onboard from Tim Hamilton. Race 1, 6 Laps, damp track. Starts 4th. Finishes 7th (2nd fastest lap time).
29 Vees lined up for the first race of the 2008 National season on a damp and slippery Phillip Island.
After a poor start, Tim collides with Victorian David Frith at Turn 6 (resulting in steering damage), then later has a self-induced spin at 'The Hay-shed'. With many competitors falling off the slippery track, Tim survives for 7th. Not a good race!
