I must say I lived there for 8 1/2 months and it's not paradise but a place to work and make "Great" money, compaired to the lower 48. The down fall is the winter. Yes it gets cold, in the -40's with heavy winds. But most jobs are indoors. I was working at ERA Aviation which is aired on the Discovery Channel "Flyin Wild Alaska" which was an experience. There is plenty of things to do there if u don't mind getting out in the cold to get there. U can " Polar plunge " in the winter when the ice h

@birenp89 as you see barrow's biggest store, AC, is owned by Canada which means everything is expensive i know about this because i live in barrow.... and every year the prices goes up
