So ya know EVERYTHING there is to know bout TRUCKING & driving the BIGRIGS, huh? REALLY?!!!!!? I'm a truck driver to who was born n raised "old school" & I've been driving trucks for the past 18 1/2 years now, & I don't claim there to know everything there is to know bout trucking & driving them. For me, it's a constant learning experiance! The day that I know everything bout trucks & trucking is the day that I'm laid 6 ft below the ground! And I didn't go to no GAY truck driving school!

speaking of trucking schools, I'm really thankful I didn't have to go to one. I learned the old way too. Started as a switcher in a terminal, more or less driving backwards for 40 hours a week. By the time I got on the road, there wasn't a hole anywhere I couldn't back that truck into! Trucking school grads just don't get that kind of experience before they start driving, and it must be really tough...

I'm only 21 and a buddy of my dad's taught me. Its not rocket science, the trailers the only thing you need to worry about because your loads always changing. The driving aint bad tho.

They get paid by the miles and it anint no $8 a mile, its more along the lines of 34-45 cents per mile and thats just as a rookie. But hey, for 15 out of my 17 years of life this is all and all I will do. GOD I love em.
