This video is the first video for my new series Cooking For beginners. I decided to do a quick and easy Turnip green Recipe for those who do no want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. You will have to precook your meat, I used salt pork. I suggest using a slow cooker/ crock pot, that way you don't have to stand in the kitchen. Keep in mind that you can use smoked turkey, hamhocks, and ect.

  • @centervilletn exacttly

  • @ladyrosie1983 i went out to my garden day and picked a 5 gallon bucket full of fresh greens to cook...i took a look at your video for a new idea...i never put crushed peppers in mine before so im tryng it....i usually just sprinkle a bit of vinegar on mine when i eat them...

  • @centervilletn Vinegar is always great, or you can just skip the peppers, and add a lil hot sauce at the end

  • The last picture looks like your victim w/ that spooky soundtrack, lol. (I'm sure its tastee though)

  • Fresh instead of frozen and whats up with all that water . Turnip green gives off so much water when steamed you don't need 1/2 that amount water , 1/4 of that would be okay.

  • Cool video, but this music sounds like it should be in some kind of spooky 60's halloween acid trip.

  • should of used fresh instead of frozen.

  • i have to tell u this is my first ime hitting p your channel and i already like it, much thanks

  • where do i get the best meat for greens?

  • Thanks for the video; but I am curious how long does it take for the greens to get tender? I've heard they need to cook at least an hour.
