This is the first in a series of videos that have been produced by Transition Malvern Hills with the aid of a grant from Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty.
The videos are to promote our upcoming 'People Make Transition Happen' event at Malvern Theatres on 27th May 2010.
We are highlighting the local, sustainable and resilient initiatives that are going on in the area at the current time and some of the events that Transition Malvern hills has held in the recent past.
This episode focuses on 'Local Food' starting with an example of an embodiment of Transition in the way that St Anns Well is run, the approach to the food that is served there and the reduction in waste produced. Malvern Country Markets originates from the W.I. Markets and provide some fine local produce. Food Waste is an important issue and TMH have held events to highlight the issues with a variety of speakers. Colwall Orchard Group is an outstanding community project that is restoring the old orchards and making use of their produce.
Presented by Transition Malvern Hills - A local community response to the threat of Peak Oil and Climate Change. http://www.transitionmalvernhills.org.uk
