Soundgarden were always too full of themselves. Minutemen were quite humble and approachable and didn't take themselves that seriously.

and yeah, McNutz88- double nickels on the dime, is fantastic, your bound to fall in love w/ at least one of the 43 songs on the album.

Double Nickels On The Dime is an absolute essential. Many, including myself consider it their best. I also really enjoyed Project Mersh, which is almost an EP. If you get a chance "We Jam Econo" the story of the Minutemen on dvd is fantastic; it includes a bonus disc of them doing many of their songs acoustically.

the album with this song is buzz or howl under the influence of heat.The best minutemen album is easily double nickels but honestly man everything they came out with is great i also highly suggest getting the punch line lp.
