Are you saved? A familiar question if you come from evangelical background but what does it mean to an Orthodox Christian?
Text is written and read by Molly Sabourin a freelance writer focusing on issues of family, faith, and community. She is also an Orthodox Christian, a wife, and a frenzied mother of four.
Photos are a random choise from the Internet.

**I am the original maker of this video. I didn't find it, steal it, download it, I MADE IT by myself by putting together the audio which I downloaded from ancientfaith.com and photos which I also downloaded from the Internet. All of this by using Windows Movie Maker.

  • On what basis is a person declared righteous before God? On the basis of Christ's death, resurrection, and imputation of God's righteousness to the sinner. When Christ's righteousness is credited to a sinner's account, God declares him righteous even though the sinner has no righteousness of his own.

  • The word "salvation" is broad term; it has different aspects. I was saved two thousand years ago in the sense that Jesus paid sin's penalty for His people so that His people will not pay that penalty. I was saved when I first believed in Jesus in the sense that I was justified when I was converted. I am being saved now in the sense that God is conforming me to the image of His Son. I will be saved in the future in the sense that I will be glorified.

  • nice, 1:55 is a bit pointless because we should care for others around us and healp eachother spiritually grow but otherwise good

  • @greggb777 Death - the oblivion of Nothingness which is the consequence of separation from God, Who is Being

  • A true and beautifully expressed explanation of the depth and mystery of our Lord's offer of salvation to us.

    Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
