errr... whatever.. ill tell you..
at the top of the motor, right above the solid fuel, there is about one half inch of slow burning fuel. it burns anywhere between 1 and 20 seconds. on top of that, is a gunpowder charge that is more inside the body of the rocket than the motor. it explodes, presurizing the rocket, and makes the nose pop off releasing the chute
