Covering a different story tonight, we happened upon this house fire just after it started. Everyone was okay, but the house may is a total loss.

  • Sorry about the house. You might want to change the title of this video to something other than: Marysville Fire. In 2009, during the Black Saturday bushfires, the town of Marysville, Australia was completely destroyed and over 30 people died in that town alone. Youtube has grouped your video in with ones from that fire and you might annoy someone with your video's title.

  • @twony75 Thank you, that's a good point! I took Marysville out of the tags, hopefully that will do the trick.

  • at :26 seconds, you can see an animal jump out. I think it was the white dog.

  • @drums600 That little dog was already out running around crazy in the street as we pulled up. Glad everyone's okay.

  • @EricJensenKOMO I also suggest changing the title, i was mislead from Black Saturday information and videos to this.

  • As much rain as Seattle gets and they have house fires? Really?

    OK I am kidding!!

  • why didn't anyone think of moving the cars... what the?

  • @doragzzzz Most people don't have the knowledge of fire behaviour or presence of mind to use a garden hose. If some had a little training yes, it would work in the beginning of a fire.

  • @ffjsb MENTIONED* sorry not a great speller.....and as i said in my orignal comment thay could of held it off...youll be suprised how affective a little water is early on in a house fire/any fire...just saying

  • @doragzzzz You are not going to put out that fire with a garden hose. Garden hoses at best put out 4-5 gallons per minute, Fire hoses put out 80-200 GPM. BTW, it's MENTIONED.

  • well if you got a garden hose on to it the house could of been saved.....and as an NSW RFS member i would have to say DO NOT go back inside (as menchend below)

  • Garden hose might be best if you wanna wet the exposures of the other house, otherwise, you wont get much done.
