Just because one is educated doesnt mean they can make good desicions or utilize good judgement. Many so called educated people supported micheal manley even as he tore down the country. Peter Phillips himself was quite a radical fellow.
I know this was an internal party election, as opposed to a national election. But as Norman Manley initially didn't believe in universal suffrage, but the passing of an educational qualification test, before being allowed to vote. I would be interesting to know how many PNP delegates would have passed such a test?
