To commemorate the last episode of "The Wire," here's my rendition of the theme song, which was written and originally performed by Tom Waits, though my song is sortof a cross between his version and Steve Earle's version with some vintage Randy Stonehill tossed in.

This rules. It would've been an awesome version for a season of The Wire, better than a few of the ones they actually went with. One thing I love about this song is, not only is it a great song to begin with, but everybody seems to perform it differently. There doesn't seem to be a "proper" way to cover it and a "wrong" way, it's versatile.

you got a good voice, but the only thing i don't like is that this an acoustic version, i prefer a more instrumental version, like the opening of season 4. Still, nice stuff man! ;)
