She has been classically trained since she was 10, and was trained not only in the chopin school of music in warsaw, but also in the american ballet school in nyc. unfortunately, she was injured quite severely and it destroyed her career as a ballerina, thus, she is not capable of a perfect performance of this piece which is why she is doing a movie in the first place- she decided to act instead :)

Why is it that in every movie that has ballet in it, the plot becomes too difficult or the character isn't ready for the challenge of ballet or ballet just isn't good enough for them and they have to go and do hip hop or something... ugh! why can't they just be happy with shear beauty that ballet is and be willing to work for it.... they don't realize how lucky they are to have that type of training and they throw it away!
