@Zarathustratosphere, You brought up an issue which is commonly referred to as Good Deeds, and doesn't that count. Basically no, because God has given you birth, life, air, opportunities to obtain wealth, a family, etc... and by you giving him back a few tokens does not make you right before him. Another Ex: Jim gives money to help some old lady, because she is poor. Jim gives because he likes the feeling it gives him and how it makes him look. Now he can boast: look what a good person I am

@Zarathustratosphere your problem is not your homosexuality or your atheism; your problem is that you do not know Jesus the Christ, or you have rejected him. The only way to be saved is through him, so by saying no to him you have rejected the only bridge to being saved from an eternal hell. Your homosexuality and atheism is an indicator of your heart condition towards your creator.

Like the 'Christians' who found justification in the morality of keeping slaves, or exploiting Indians, or the church maintianing power by claiming that God has appointed them the arbiters of morality and priviledge, this manmade distinction between moral law and cleanliness is a hypocrites rationalization for behavior that pretends to preach love but encourages bigotry.

@buddlevin God made man, and gave man rules to live by. Man has enslaved man: not God. Many have used religion to do this, but the Bible does not endorse this behavior. The church does have power, and they represent God and His word to the people, though many of them are false. Without God, there is no such thing as morality or good or evil. @fredstime Wow. You've just made two false assumptions about me: 1) that I am Atheist (I am pagan), and 2) that I am homosexual (I am straight).

First of all, how do you know that you have found the "one true way"? How do you know its not the Muslims, Hindus, or any one of the literally thousands of religious movements over the ages that have the "right answer"? That's your challenge; not just to prove that god is real and that we should all listen, but prove that YOUR God (or idea thereof) is.

This is why Craig is horrible at apologetics! He makes a stupid argument that isn't biblical. The fact is if you READ the bible for yourself it is self explanatory! The westwing argument was childish and easily refuted. Although any caught in the 'act' SHOULD be put to death. The laws have not changed neither has G-d, by His words in the bible!

A Cheap shot ! Why quote the Law of Moses, meant for the Israielites living under the Old Covenant to a gentile Christian living under the New Covenant.

Would you judge a Frenchman living in France under American law, I think not. While homosexuality is condemed as sinfull under the New Covenant unlike the Old covenant it does not promote death ,stoning or any of the other things the President mentioned. The script wrtiers have made their anti Christian belief well known over past episodes.

@fredstime Primates have morals as well. This has been shown in the lab that morality and a sense of right and wrong is part of our biology, not gifted to us by some invisible man in the sky.

@fredstime The person I was referring to was a kind and generous homosexual with a GOOD HEART (unthinkable though that might be to a fair few reading this page). And having a good heart, doing good not making you a good person in the eyes of the Abrahamic God... well, that's one of several reasons I eventually renounced my Catholic upbringing (and schooling), becoming pagan.

First of all, you're a coward for disabling ratings. Secondly, thanks for amusing me with ten minutes of ineffectual squirming against the devastating case made by the West Wing.

In particular, trying to say that Bartlet's case is moot because he says "homosexuality" instead of "homosexual behavior" was a particular giggle, even more so was your equating theft and murder (two crimes with actual victims) with sexual activity between two consenting adults who aren't hurting anyone else.
