No problem at all. This is a common missconception. In our area we are in full swing spawn season. If fish braided line sight fishing-- with fish "nipping" the bait you will miss alot of fish (called dry sntatching)-- rarely loose one. have you had any trouble with the weight coming out? it just seems that if you cast it, the weight may come flying out after a few cast.
