Midas Fall ~ Century

''Having recently signed with UK independent Monotreme Records (65daysofstatic, This Will Destroy You, Jeniferever), Manchester-based post rock quintet Midas Fall have been quietly building a loyal fanbase since their inception just two years ago.
Their debut album 'Eleven. Return and Revert' had its worldwide release with Monotreme in April 2010. Garnering numerous glowing reviews comparing them to the likes of Portishead, Bat For Lashes and Explosions in the Sky. The album also received a positive review from Rocksound Magazine and the band even received a personal tweet from Kerrang! new bands editor Katie Parsons citing how much she liked the record.
2009 saw the group self release debut EP 'Century' and gain national airplay from (amongst others) BBC Introducing's Tom Robinson and the Best of Myspace podcast, whilst 2010 saw them support Japanese post-rock legends Mono and secure a coveted synch for their track 'MovieScreens' on BBC3's Lip Service soundtrack.
In 2011, Midas Fall are working on a new EP set for autumn release, will play main stage slots at GoGo Festival in June, Berlin's Dark Spring Festival in April, Belgium's Dunk! Festival in November as well as three sold-out support slots with Heather Peace and Jill Jackson in Glasgow, Manchester and London. The band have also just finalised endorsements from Dava Picks and Lion Cajon Drums. Their full European / Russian tour begins in October.''
