  • Are these ratings for Standard or Blitz?

  • These videos were from my standard rating. Thanks for checking out the vid!

  • Hey J-Man, whats your current rating on FICS.

  • I usually default to my last video rating. Thanks for checking out the vid and there will be more personal games coming.

  • I would appreciate it to see a match you don't win. Perhaps there are no interesting loses, but it would be informative.

  • I have some up - thanks for checking out this one!

  • Seriously, knight to e7 ?!

  • @HOHOHOHI888 dude! ur right!!

  • wow. ... why didnt you take first with the bishop and then with the knight forking the king and rook. at 4:24

  • Bg5 is a terrible move, the reasoning is that in this setup once black gets a lockdown on g5 or swap the dark squared bishop, white's only chance is in the center, hence black is in strategic control of the game since the dark squares in the center are heavily dominated by the black pieces - but it is a plan that is fairly difficult for a lower rated player to implement (aka e5, an equally TERRIBLE move which completely justified Bg5).

  • @HOHOHOHI888 I thought the same at first, it's what seemed natural. But looking ahead, that dark square bishop on F6 generates great influence. He uses it for the combination attack that delivers mate in 2 after the exchange. Way better than the extra 2 points of material he would have picked up with the fork, wouldn't you agree?

  • 5:24 better wouldve been bishop takes then knight takes....which leads to a fork

  • this is basically a game betwen 2 ppl that simply play book opennings without even knowing what they r doing...black is so bad that a certain point he simply gives up a piece for no reason...

  • Respond to this video... I'm sorry but black played very pathetically in this game:

    1st e5

    then the knight blunder

the black didn't even attack the bishop when jrobi threatened to bring his queen to h6

badly played for a class C player

  • No. Because then he doesn't have the chance to checkmate.

  • I would say, that blacks big mistake in this game was the move pawn to e5. This move created his weakness on his d5 square. A central square which is not protected by a pawn. By this, I commend you from recognizing his weakness and capitalizing on it by posting a knight in this square. Great move!
