May I point you all in the direction of the Futurama episode "Clockwork Origins"? In the episode, it basically explains evolution, but with robots, and during the era of the robosaurs, some 4-legged robot dinos had wheels. :3

That last bit about humans "breaking out of the mold" is a but hard for me to believe. We've only moved the premises of building a road so that it is much less work for us.

Besides animals make paths in the woods - which could be considered a typ of road.

The what is the source of these miraculous limbs? And...uh...by "faith-based (materialistic)" are you implying that materialistic is the same as faith-based? I've always thought of those as opposite sides.. The materialistic view on the one hand, which accepts only those things as real which can be proven by materialistic means (and thus sometimes falls short of what the reality actually is) and the faith based view on the other hand which accepts things as reality that can't be proven.
