From The Rocketeer, the scene when Jenny and the devilishly evil, but oh, so wonderfully seductive Neville Sinclair (Timothy Dalton), dance at the South Seas Club. Meanwhile, our hero, Cliff (Bill Campbell) comes to our heroine's rescue.

This is one of the most romantic scenes in cinema history. Unfortunately, it is too short. Dalton and Connelly are such a beautiful couple and the music is terrific. I love the set too.

This is a great love scene. Too bad it was cut too soon. Dalton is an absolutely great actor and Jennifer Connolly is so beautiful. Dalton was cheated out of an Academy Award for playing Neville Sinclair. There is no doubt that Neville is one of the greatest villians in cinema history.

Continuity mistake: When they first walk out onto the dance floor, there are no band members. at 1:04 you can clearly see bandstand is full.

I actually found another continuity mistake. At 0:24 Jenny is drinking her champagne and she has not put down her glass completely. The next shot of her at 0:28 when she says, "There's no music," the glass is out of sight.

I've seen this scene so many times and that's the first time I've noticed it LOL. :-)

Jennifer Connelly is beautiful, but I honestly think she got better with age--both talent wise and in terms of looks. Younger doesn't always equal more beautiful--I mean, look at Kate Winslet.

The song here is "In A Sentimental Mood"... I assume an arrangement by Cole Porter, since he did the other songs. Could also be arranged by Billy May. Does anyone know where I could find this version of this song. It must exist since it was in this movie. Surprised it was not included in the soundtrack.

Jennifer Connelly is absolutely gorgeous in this movie. Timothy Dalton has a good seductive voice. If I was him, I'd seduced Jenny to let me cuddle her from head to toe, hug, and kiss her. I'd let her know how much I want her and that I live for her beauty and how she's dressed. So what if he's the villian and she's the hero's girl. The thing that matters is she's beautiful.
