If there was any shadow of doubt as to Ira Losco's talent as well as her rightful place in the realm of greatness, this has now been dispelled for good, because our local Rock Queen is back with a third album, 'Fortune Teller', shining bright as beacons should.

The demand for Losco is clear for all to see: how often have we seen a crowd chilling on its doorstep, with the venue packed to capacity? Together with Producer Howard-Keith, Ira has been confined to the studio working on her last album for the past six months. Finally, Ira Losco will launch her new album with a smashing concert on June 14th at Sky Super Club in Paceville.

From the cosy confines in local bars, we now see Ira on billboards and top-up card advertising, rocking twice as hard in front of both local and foreign enthusiasts. All this justifies her acclaimed albums, the latest being 'Fortune Teller'. Lustrous wrapping, fine cover-design and a carefully produced 14 fresh sounding tracks, summarizing six months of hard work and years of experience. If anything, 'Fortune Teller' is almost futile at attesting that Ira Losco is The artist, because that was made totally obvious by her first debut at the Eurovision! Things have changed drastically since that year when she stunned millions at this song contest. The more people listen to her music the more they realise that hers is a genuine, long-lasting trademark.

"Fortune Teller", is in fact her third album and manifests a more mature Ira Losco, with adamant views about anything and everything and a raspy leathery tone to her voice belting out lyrical content with some hefty weight. In typical fashion electric guitars and some very punchy synths are prominent in "Fortune Teller" and the energy levels are sky high. The album was written with unabashed live performances in mind and is danceable and pumping, however the occasional soothing acoustic track draws us deeper into the many facets which are Ira. 'Shoulders of Giants' has a subtle greatness to it, which contrasts with the bold sound of 'Elvis Can you Hear Me?'

In the run-up to her concert on June 14th, we asked Ira to comment about the response from her Maltese fan base: "Malta is my base first and foremost but I never take anything fro granted. I'm proud to say that I have the best fans one can ever ask for!" says Ira Losco.

"Every year comes by with higher hurdles to jump, new challenges to face, new chapters to write and new exciting experiences to savour. I am now looking forward to taking the stage with my band once again to perform the new album live. I am very excited about launching the new album shortly, I am very proud of every single note and word on 'Fortune Teller.' I have so much to say and music keeps giving me the opportunity to do so." added Ira.

" Managing artists is no easy task but it's been very rewarding to see this great artist get better and better at what she does best and ultimately exporting her talent to other territories" added Howard Keith from Jagged House Management.

In the words of Keith Marshall from Marshall-Pulis Creations, "At last we were in a position to let the cat out of the bag. We've been discussing with Ira and her team the best way forward to launch this album, and we all agreed that Sky is ideal place. 'Everything about Sky Club is comfortable, from the great atmosphere that the venue provides so effortlessly to the latest lights and sound system, we're literally gunning on all fronts." He added, "It isn't just the Ira Losco fans that are counting down the days -- we're also approaching a number of tour agencies to potentially promote this concert overseas as part of a holiday package. We are all out to promote local talent and new material that has just been released."

On the night a merchandise stand will also be selling Ira Losco albums, the DVD 'Living It...' , T-shirts as well as the new album copy. Ira and the band will be holding a signing session after the concert. So book this public holiday on your diaries, head down to Sky on Saturday 14th and unwind with a unique cosmopolitan crowd. You'll soon find out why Ira's next album run is indeed a magic one.

Tickets will be selling as from Monday 19th May from all Guess, Chemimart, Vodafone and Mc Donalds outlets. Joe Cushchieri from Vodafone as well as Joanna Ellis from Mc Donald's added that their customers will be entitled to a 50% discount on a limited number of tickets.
