  • This was Coward's most popular song and he came to hate it . He was in a minority of one!

  • A wonderful and somewhat humorous song.

Like with many other old and obscure songs, I was first exposed to this tune via The Muppet Show.

  • wow someone with taste on real music

  • @dourotter I agree. The 1955 version is faster because, like Meade Lux Lewis' "Honky Tonk Train Blues", he got so tired of it, he sang it faster to get it over with.

  • this is a classic! imagine someone asking Noel Coward why it's so idiotic to sunbathe and him giving this as answer!!!

  • cute, i like rudy vallee's version better. but that's probably because it's the only one i knew before now

  • Just finished watching a Noel Coward short play marathon at the Shaw Festival. Started off with Star Chamber. Absolutely wonderful.

  • This is a classic, and this version is superior to the one of 1955, which is too antic.

  • Ahhhhh... I want this record! Find me a copy!

  • Thanks for posting this. There was a similar vid posted a while back but had been removed. :-)
