Woman runs over dog and ends up in jail

Early Sunday morning, dispatch received a call from a woman stating that she had accidentally run over a dog on Hwy 90 in front of the Harvey's grocery store.
When officers arrived, they suspected the driver of possible intoxication and conducted a sobriety test. The woman passed the sobriety test but was arrested for knowingly driving with a suspended license and transported to the Madison County jail.
MPD Patrolman Brooks was the primary officer and was assisted by Patrolman Johnson.
