  • Navasota!! Great band. Heard them at least a dozen times (Kingsville, SanMarcos, Mother Earth (austin when austin was good) back in the 72's. I sure remember wierd Dicky. One of the best bands I've ever heard, and I heard a few (photographer Armadillo, Aust American Statesman music scene photographer). I wondered for years what ever happened to the guys. Great talent like ZZ Top. GOD BLESS NAVASOTA...That's What It's Like Playing In A Rock and Roll Band was one of their great songs.

  • reminds me of Mother Earth and Austin, Texas.....

  • Kikkin' butt!

  • @roach8645

    Hell yeah, here's to Texas.

  • I bought this album in Houston, Texas in 1972, and then foolishlly sold it in 1975 to help defray college expenses. Sure wish I could take time back! Anyway, I haven't heard this in 35 years. Thank you for posting.

  • This is what real music is about.

    Lindsey minter jr.

  • Steeley Dan signed with the record label the same time as Navasota and they were all friends, that's why they are on this album.

  • Glad you like it! This was my Uncle Dicky's band. He's been in California all these years since then. He was in a big band out there called the Bone Daddy's back in the 80's. He is now know as King Cotton, check him out on FB.

  • A forgotten band. Great talent including Jeff "Skunk" Baxter from The Doobie Brothers and members of Steely Dan before they were big. Got this album at a yard sale for a dime about thirty years ago. I've played the hell out of it!

  • hey bring back the old days . hats of to navasota a great band.
