Selena remained in a dark corner, loving the coolness of the shadows that lingered with her. Taking a sip of her chilled beer she admired the how truly talented the boy band was, every song was almost note perfect, and by the looks their sweet harmonies had every girl swooning.

They had come to the end of their song 'Take a Breath' and were now taking an interval from their one hour performance straight. The boys stepped off the stage as they passed through the crowd of girls that had surrounded them, forming a semi circle around the stage. The body guards made a path for the boys to leave the huddle and get some refreshments and food before returning to their well paid gig.

"Sel?" Miley frowned sadly, walking up to her best friend "Why are you isolating yourself from the party?"

She gazed up at her saddened friend, knowing she was being a party pooper but she didn't feel right in some way "Sorry Miles just feeling off tonight.."

Miley merely nodded "Do you know why?" She asked lowly, grabbing a beer of the refreshment table residing next to Selena.

"I'm just not used to this kinda life style Miley, all the late nights and for me early mornings it's taking it's toll" She explained gently, trying not to sound like a nag at her friends sweet 17.

"Look Sel just let loose just for tonight yeah?" She pleaded, grabbing Sel's hand as she tugged up gently upon onto her feet "Have a few drinks dance with some cute guys then call in sick for college. It's only open day so not a lot going on there. Come around the town with me and JB, I don't wanna hang around with big headed jerks all day"

A sarcastic laugh emerged from behind the two as they talked "Whoa thanks Miles, mind if I take your birthday present back for that rude remark" Kevin grinned a goof grin as he rolled his deep mocha eyes at them.

"Oh no not you Kevin. We love you" Miley assured him with her million dollar smile, she was blessed to own. "Just the other two we were on about"

"Thanks" They spoke in unison as they grabbed a beer themselves

Selena giggled tiredly, letting go of Miley's hand "Welcome"

All eyes fell on Selena who wore a soft smile that shone brightly in the beaming over head lights that revolved around the room continuously. Miley and Kevin laughed along with Selena's sweet giggles as they other brothers frowned with her bold self confidence she had recovered quickly.

"Come on Sel" Miley ushered, grabbing their beers and placing them on the windowsill "My boy Chris Brown is coming on next and I ain't missing it for the world"

The girl was dragged past the boys and through the ground of people that were dancing in tight packs of their friends and relatives that had the rep to be at a party like this. And they were not taking it for granted.

Jonas shortly followed the girls as they entered the centre of the dance floor. 'Kiss kiss' by no other than 'Chris Brown' started pumping through Miley's manor. The people reacted with the music changing their slow subtle dance moves to harsh and sharp movements, flowing with the strong base beat in the backing of the music. The dance floor became solid as more guest started thrusting and swaying to the song.

Selena and Miley held hands spinning each other around as the boys just bobbed to the music too busy checking out the girls in this place.

"God it's packed pretty tight" She panted as the air became short in the tightly pressed humid air of the bodies clashing against each other as the danced.

Miley bobbed her head, "I swear I didn't invite this many people"

"I'm gonna get a drink" She gasped, as Nick's chest collided with her back "I'll be right back Miles" With that she pushed her way through the mass of the guests that were fist pumping to 'In My Head' Finally making it out she grabbed another beer and ventured outside for some fresh air.

A while later after the Dj has played a few more songs; Nick noticed that Selena still wasn't back "Miley I thought Selena was just going to get a drink?"

She shrugged, care free "Maybe she found a cute guy"

"You mean a crazy drunk pervert?" Kevin piped up finishing off his carlings

"Good point" She shrilled flying off the dance floor as she looked around for Selena "Brandi have you seen Sel?"

She shook her head "No"
