@Hunniebunniedoll And try peanut butter on the bell. As soon as their nose touches the bell, open the door and take them outside. Do this about 10 times in a row, and I'll bet they'll have it =)

@Hunniebunniedoll : Thanks! It literally only took 30 minutes to teach the bell after she was housetrained. First, make sure your dog is housetrained. They won't understand why or when to ring the bell unless they first understand that they have to go outside to relieve themselves (and you'll end up with a puppy who thinks bell=treat, not bell=outside to potty). . .

so freaking cute, my mom has three of them i love saint puppies.

@n1n1vr It's super easy. Just put a little peanut butter on a bell, and when the puppy goes to eat it and the bell rings, open the door right away and walk them outside. Do this over and over. Eventually, they get it, and will associate ringing the bell with going outside :)

how did you train her??????? wooooow!!! i got a 6 weeks old saint bernard and i'll love to see her doing what your dog did! :D
Thank you! And yes, she's about 115lbs now. Not quite fully grown, but getting there! I don't think St. Bernards reach their full size until around 3 yrs old. She's 2 now, and still very tall and skinny like a teenager :)

Wow, you did a great job with your lovely dog. I suppose she's BIG now!

@wnesbitt1 Thank you! She's certainly a lot bigger than she is in this video. But not fully grown yet. She's 112 pounds, but still tall and skinny like a teenager. Our other girl is almost 200 pounds. I don't expect Heidi to get quite THAT big, but she should still grow and fill out a bit.

I think your videos need to be more constructive, like mine for instance. Anyhow, you done well!

@trainingpuppies1: My guess is that you only commented on my video to drive people to your channel to sell them your training package, but thanks for the compliment. This was just a video for the trainer so he could see how my dog was doing using his methods. Sorry it didn't meet your expectations.
