  • I don't think you understand what he was talking about. The name of the series is "The day the Universe Changed" but of course there was no such day, except that for people, who are certain of what they know about the universe one day, find that they must change what they are certain about the next day when they find their old belief not to be true. Science is a human endeavor, not a thing unto itself: it is burdened by human psychology. He is saying that science is not the ideal we think it is.
