No such thing unless it's self -motivated. That's the whole point of self-directed learning; you 'study' only what you are genuinely interested in so the knowledge sticks. Children are insatiably curious about the world they require no prodding to learn.

Every minute of their day they are attempting to learn and understand their environment. Who are we to tell them what they need to know and when they need to know it. We have our whole lives to learn. why not enjoy the process?
