Don't forget the 4th component of the military industrial complex-the FED. Without the federal reserve, we wouldn't have the elastic currency to print the all the money out of thin air to pay for all of this.

KBR in Iraq, Kuwait and Qatar overcharged the US Army for meals. They charged the Army at Camp Arifjan KU for 66,000 meals, and served less than 13,000. That led to an investigation of EVERY KBR operated DFAC in the theater, At every DFAC the meals actually served compared to the KBR count were off by thousands. This was not even a story in the US, but I was in Iraq then and it was a huge story there,

So Cheney commissioned KBR, a defense services company, to tell him whether or not it would be a good idea if defense service companies did work that the military was doing itself, and KBR came back and said that it would be a very good idea. Hmm, they would say that wouldn't they. Then Cheney becomes 10 times wealthier in 5 years. Why isn't Cheney behind bars.

@b5thomas7 You don't seem to have a grasp on how economics work. Printing money doesn't allow you to buy an infinite amount of goods. It just lowers the value of all the money that exists. You can' make money by printing it but you can't raise or lower the value of something by printing that money.
