Dutchman Bas Broekhuis' music is known for its sequential and rhythmic content also known as "Berliner Schule" (Berlin school).
In his studio Bas plays and composes mostly on synthesizer,
but on stage he likes to play, along good friends like Detlef Keller, Mario Schönwälder, on electronic drums, acoustic percussion and Rhythmstick
(Proud owner of the worlds biggest collection of Rhythmsticks).
"You need gear to make noise, but friends to make music!"
Both keys and drums were mastered by himself.
"Im not a virtuous player, but the computer helps me to correct the biggest mistakes".
The Escher drawings( 1991, re-released 2004 ) is his first solo cd.

T Blijft een lekker nummer!
Great tune, with a certain hook,
Those days Bas and lived about 500meters apart. His home studio was very impressive! All those magnificent drum machines ( Roland CR 78 etc. ) , his self made rhytm controller...
Loved the way he let technical stuf help with our music. He even made a MIDI interface to help with the lights on stage.
This track from his Escher Drawings project is an ear catcher or ear wurm......
Thanks Rob for posting.
