Are you using RCBS stardard full length sizing dies? How Do they run thru your AR?
-
Why would you reload to .223 spec when your gun is 5.56 NATO? Anyways, nice video, thank you for it.
-
nothing happens if you don't crimp, as a matter of fact you shouldn't crimp on the 223 as long as your resizing die is correct.
-
what happens if you dont kremp the bullet?!?!?!
-
go back to making funny movies...like the one with camp fire...you are good at it.And I wanna see more.

Great video, you know what your talking about.

@handgunlover yep! 10mm and .45acp are the easiest by far. no resizing lube required if you have a carbide die.

Thanks for the information learned alot. Well Done!

Hey great info vid. Im getting into reloading for my AR. Cost of ammo is getting outrageous. I'll probably have more questionns for you. I do have one question tho. If you check my vids you see I have a mostly dirt range. Sometimes I come across a case that I missed. It's be dirty and tarnished but as long as its not dented or crushed I'll keep it. Will the tumbler take care of one of those thats been in the elements for a while? Are they safe to reload?
Thanks in advanced!

@ThatDudeSirraj if it doesn't come out in the tumbler use 00 steel wool to make the brass come back to life. it is safe to reload as long as you still follow the general rules.

great video. I missed in the video what the specific "pain in the butt" is with reloading .223. One part you said its better to use a case prep center, and thats my best guess as to what you are referring to.
Is the case prep the issue, or are there other issues that make .223 a pain? Also, have you ever made cast bullets for .223? I haven't loaded .223 yet, but the other calibers I load are much cheaper by casting bullets.

@romansten9 yes case prep center is very helpful when reloading the .223. there just seems to be a lot of little steps that one would normally not have to do when reloading any other rifle or pistol caliber. eg. 30-06 or .45 acp. and i think its just because its a small bottle neck case, that is used in a semi-auto. brass out of spec, primer crimp, very small to handle, & brass can easily be destroyed. i have cast bullets before but not .223 i think it would be too dirty in the ar-15. thanks

@barnettzack Thanks for getting back to me so quick and answering my questions. Your cost per round was so low, casting might not be necessary for me. Any advice where to get low cost bullets? Thanks.
