Shawn, in all my years of golf, I never heard the concept of bracing. This is fascinating to me and now I can't wait to get out and try it. Thank you sir and God bless.
I've been playing for 35 years and I just got a laser v2. It has transformed my golf game and made it fun again.

Hey Jdotson! Correct! Focus on the feel of the snap past impact or the release of the stone towards the pond like described by "Chabelyk" and you will get what you are looking for; when trying to hold the lag, this thinking is still pre-ball with no target and this is impossible to do properly and consistently...too many loose ends and questions like how long before you let the lag go and hit the ball? Here gravity does all the work and all you are looking for is one feel...past the ball!
Shawn, how firm are your wrists throughout the swing? I'm wondering if mine is too firm, as I don't seem to get a whip sensation through impact.

Like jdotson, I have also been working with my instructor to hold the lag and I haven't had much luck. Tonight I experimented with a swing where I imagined I was skipping a stone. We've all read this but I never really understood what it meant. I tried it and I experienced a tremendous swatting action at impact similar to Shawn's video. I saw & heard my instructor's swing, and his ball sounded like it was exploding during impact. This had to have come from a snap type release.

I love your videos! I was wondering what you thought of the one plane swing and would you recommend players converting to it. I've recently tried it and I am experiencing a lot of success, especially where consistency is concerned.

You are experiencing some good results because it is fixing a fault that was holding you back; I prefer to use the plane required for each shot by letting gravity place the club like in the "golf pro lesson swing plane" video; Thanks for the comment! Shawn
