@Edward245100 Do you know what...you have absolutely no idea what is good music...this is a fine symphony, I've been collecting hundreds of syms for 30 years now, I know this is a good symphony.....the "elgarian497" is only 14, but already he can tell it's a good sym......YOU "Edward245100" are a complete imbecile, don't bother to comment here again as you've no idea what symphonic music is all about.
@elgarian497 The whole symphony is quite clever really...but it doesn't reach the heights of Mendelssohn's and Schumann's syms or Berlioz's Sym Fantastic. .somebody on Youtube has already uploaded the other mvts. I bought this on CD a long time ago - about 1990.
It reminds me of Louis Spohr's & Weber's syms and Schubert's style, possibly Anton Reicha's syms as well...I can't hear Beethoven here....
This is a beautiful piece! Sensing the influence of Schumann and maybe a bit of Brahms. And of course Beethoven, any composer working during this time could not escape the influence of Beethoven!
The movement is fantastically structured, with some really lovely orchestration and melodies. Shall definitely be listening to this again, please upload the rest of the symphony, I would be very interested to hear it! Thank you for introducing me to this composer, I did not know his music before.

Pretty much a total bore. Thanks for reminding us all again why second rate composers are second rate and hardly worth listening to.
