For over 3,000 years Egypt was ruled by Pharaohs. But in that last sweep of time, one pharaoh stands out. He would reign for 67 years, command the largest empire on earth and capture the imagination of the world. His name was Ramesses. Ramesses built a reputation that has resounded through history. It was a reputation deliberately crafted by the pharaoh himself. Ramesses was in fact a master of propaganda, projecting his power beyond the battlefield across the ancient world

  • This movie does not look accurate. It mixes up Ramses's earlier years of ruling and the later one's. After Kadesh, Ramses did not get treaty. He's got truce. He married the princess when he was already 60 and something years old. Then, he married another one. The peace treaty was carved on a silver tablet. The Egyptian army at Kadesh was not so weak as they presented. Both sides advanced their weapons. I am sure, if I continue to watch I will find even more mistakes.

  • LOOKS LIKE EVERY ONE WANNA WATCH XXX MOVIE ABOUT RAMSES AND HIS WIVES LOL BASTAAAARDS !!!!!

  • @uberjohn100 Septimius Severus was the child of colonists... not quite African in the sense that most people understand.

  • Timrod, you are right, there were African or Black rulers of Egypt. These existed for a period of time, but not completely. The idea of Black or African is a much later idea, we are not sure they thought in our terms of race, so the idea is moot. You may be suprised to learn that Rome had a Ceasar who was from Africa (but more then likely of Greek decent). In the ancient world race was not the same concept as it was in the late 20th Century. See Spencer Wells on race.

  • The need to start depicting the tru Egyptian in these documentaries The black man woman and child. We were the rulers and builders of kemet. And Nubia U quick to put us on tv as gangbangers fagz thieves and hoes but refuse to depict us as the kings in Egypt Y'all need to stop stealing our history and teach it right. Ya punks
