I was lucky enough to see The Musical Box performing The Lamb in Geneva (Switzerland) a few years ago... and Mr. Phil Collins joined in for the finale. He drummed on The Musical Box (the song) without rehearsals! AMAZING!! Brilliant concert :))

Leigh knows her Genesis. Personally "Lamb" is not my fave album, but bravo!

A friend I know was part of a crew that organized two Genesis shows on the french leg of The Lamb tour...I wasn't even born then.
The old CD version tracked "Windshield" and "Melody" wrongly as you said ; was it corrected on the latest release?

I should also mention at the time I was heavily immersed in the Romantic period poets(esp. Wordsworth) so when I heard the openning to Colony of Slippermen which is a direct quote from " On Intimations of Immortality " I was gone onto my own vision quest, rumor has it my return could be anyday now.

@stonespud ~ Haha! I'll check outside my window, tomorrow, Stone...to see if you are outside, wandering lonely as a cloud - somewhere in the sunny Arizona desert sky within my home's vista! *big grin*

I want to thank you for the open discussion of the lamb. In the area I live, the radio stations did not play genesis. I did not come upon this work until two tears after it was released vis- a - via a poet friend who was teaching me chess and used it as a backdrop ( now these many years removed) maybe a strategy. I spent my entire spring break after the intial exposure listeniing to this work over and over and reading The Tibetan Book of the Dead . Thanks for affirming.

@stonespud ~ wow, stonespud...heavy stuff for a Spring Break ! *impressed look* Even my eldest daugther (who is currently working on her doctorate) would give herself a break - to go rock climbing - during that second semester (so mentally drained was she, by that point). My hat is off to you - for being so intellectually open to the actual message that Gabriel was attempting to put across with The Lamb. *also recommended - Jung & Joseph Campbell's "Hero's Journey" writings. ;-)

@SuperGrayeagle *irreverent chuckle* ...yes, "mutter"...that's the descriptive word for my brand of verbal genuflection of early Genesis, SGE! LOLOL !!
