Todays demonstration at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is a follow up to the original protest that was held two weeks earlier on Monday July 25th, 2011.
The turnout for this demonstration was slightly larger than the previous one. The media turnout for this event (as far as the writer could ascertain) was virtually non-existent compared to the first protest where there was several visible & easily identifiable local media sources. It would appear that there is an attempt by the media to quickly diffuse this movement by not giving it any further airtime; therefore keeping the Canadian public in the dark. The overwhelming majority of those in attendance did not appear to be dismayed by the lack of media coverage or support by local politicians, or the less than ideal turnout by those of the public for this subsequent protest. If anything the protesters appeared more committed & more resolved to see this through until a favourable resolution to this situation is found. The protesters were valiantly spurred on by the five keynote speakers: G.J. Rancourt (of the Canadian Heritage Party), Special Guest Speaker - Raheel Raza (of the Muslim Canadian Congress; speaker/author/film maker/activist), Ron Banerjee (of the Canadian Hindu Advocacy), Tony Costa (of Costa Christian Mission), & Meir Weinstein (of the Jewish Defense League or JDL).
More muslims were out in attendance for this protest than the previous one & were having their own peaceful protest against the protesters of this event. Overall, the entire demonstration went well without incident or fanfare. As voiced by the leaders of this Interfaith Coalition they intend to become more organized, more vocal, more visible, more persistent, & more determined until the TDSB or the Government of Canada steps in & rescinds Muslim prayers in public school(s).

He comes from a country where Sikhs, Muslims and Christians are labelled as Hindus but then slaughtered for not being Hindus. Fucked up country, poor Banerjee probably trying to collect Canadian dollars, convert them into rupees and go back to India to live an easy life. Does this guy even have a job? Other then being stupid.

Top 10 Hindu Gods have 4 women 6 men. Thats inequality on a larger scale. He should clear his own religion up first and should speak only when he knows he is clean.

So you admit that Banerji, yourself, and all those who are part of the opposition simply hate Muslims, Islam, and that this hatred is your agenda. At least you are honest with that. I really hope that as a human being you get past that hatred and ignorance. Islam is a good religion and Muslims are good people. Like every group in the world, they too have their extremists and are battling them. It's ironic that you're group inadvertently helps the extremists by attacking Islam and Muslims.

Banerji doesn't even represent more than two Hindus, let alone the Hindu community. If he did, I would be worried, especially with the racist and hateful remarks that came out of his mouth. He made a huge fool of himself that day. He yelled things like "You're oppressed", "Islam is violent" and things of that effect. Goes to show that his issue is not with the TDSB ruling, but rather with Islam, which he hates, and that is why he and others were there, because of hate.

Poor Haroon Siddiqui of the Toronto Star. He is frothing at the mouth at Ron Banerji. The Toronto Star and its desperate editor don't represent the the majority of Canadians.

Many people think that Canada is a great example of Muslim integration into western society.
You guys really need to expose this as a lie, and spread the truth about what's happening there.
