Exactly. Fans might thanks their luck RED DWARF is back at all, in any form.. They're not terrible episodes at all, everyone's obviously aged (but not by much!) they stick to the same pattern as the original series. and the most self-satisfied criticisms levelled at obvious weaknesses, but they really can't find anything positive in the episodes (which is remarkable considering they include Rovers Return, a set in a 2009 shopping mall and a hot female hologram..!). Roll on more Red Dwarf!

I thought that the episodes were a good launch pad for a new series, brilliant for bringing in those who were not quite up to speed with Red Dwarf. But...I feel like the ball has been dropped. Dave, WHERE'S THE NEW SERIES TO FOLLOW ON???

Sorry but the acting was poor, the jokes werent funny and the story was weak. It was just a lame rehash of Back to Reality. It was even worse than the episode Beyond a Joke.

One of my biggest complaints about season 8 was bringing back Rimmer and making him as he was in the first season. He's my favorite character and to see seven seasons worth of character development thrown away ticked me off.
Seeing him in his season seven hard light form makes me want to see this even more.

I really enjoyed it but there must have only been about 20 mins of it.Shame they had to spread it over 3 episodes.
