The difference between Disney and Universal is Disney goes above and beyond to put YOU in the ride. Of course, this is totally different with Harry Potterland, but they don't try to revamp old rides. Rip Saw looks old. You can see things and, show wise, it's boring. Splash Mountain is an old ride, but Disney constantly revamps it to make it new and exciting. Things actually move instead of just being talking statues.

My family likes the second week of January or immediately after Thanksgiving through the second week of December. Crowds and wait times are MUCH lower. October is also a lovely time to go.
