  • Still sounds like a sewing machine, put twin pipes WITHOUT equalizer pipes on any v8 and it will sound good !!! Still a very nice car!!!!

  • Hey Steve from inside, interestingly it sounds always like a V8. Tuned exhausts for everyday are often too loud. What are the equalizer pipes? For cool V8 Sound I just purchased Ford Mustang V8 from 1968, a Sprint special edition Package B, only 15100 were sold then. So with this one i will have a modern V8 (Volvo) a high revolution V8 (Maserati with Ferrari 4.2 V8 engine) a classic american V8 an in a addition a new Porsche 911 S to give damn to the 6 cylinders :-)

  • well, interestingley inside it sounds much more like a V8, and I am so glad that it is no Heico or other afternarket exhaust. They sound great when standing behind the car, but after 5 miles you get a bad headache. For more sportive sound I take my 911 4S.

  • anyone got an idea about the price for Exhaust Pipes from Heico for a XC 90 V8??

    Thanks

  • @MarcusinBagEnd yes of course this is V8 engine:) T6 not bulbulbul:D

  • @tsukaluis well, i hear it... V8´s under 300cui should be forbidden to make!

  • @MarcusinBagEnd Nice one :-) Who wants a friggin American shit-tank anyway. Their power-to litre ratio is shockingly poor. At least European engines pack a decent punch for their comparatively smaller size. Volvo all the way. I have an S80 myself, and as you say - you have to drive it to appreciate the sound. People stop in the street and look when they hear the rumble during acceleration. It's immense! None of the clattery, unrefined, ancient technology featured in the American lumps :-)

  • @MrJeronimo94 It has an optional V8, which is exactly the same as the XC90. So what do you think?

  • @MrJeronimo94 Your point, being?

  • @Swedediesel : for all smallbrains: IT IS NOT A AMERICAN BIG BLOCK V8: AND FOR ALL THOSE WHO DO NOT OWN THIS CAR: PLEASE SHUT UP AND DRIVE IT AND HEAR IT THAN YOU WILL HEAR THE V8 SOUND. THE SOUND SAMPLES ARE NEVER REPRESENTATIVE. AND WHY SHOULDN´T HE NOT SOUND LIKE A VOLVO V8 ??? WHY SHOULD HE SOUND LIKE AN AMERICAN V8 ???? MY MASERATI V8 WITH HIS FERRARI V8 DOES ALSO NOT SOUND LIKE AN AMERICAN BBLOCK AND NO ONE SAYS OOOUUUHHHH THIS V8 MASERATI SOUNDS POOR CAUSE IT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A BB!

  • @MrJeronimo94 Well, that may be true but when you look at the engine?! The cayenne has a V6 and not a V8 so what do you think ?

  • @MrJeronimo94 This is a V8, and is very comparable to its competitors, because it is in the same league as its competitors. And FYI It is the Porsche Cayenne that is the competitor, not the Cayenne S. The Volvo V8 being the cleanest in the world has to be acknowledged, and your scathing views are extremely primitive!
