"Yashomati Maiya Se Bole Nandlala" is an old song from Hindi film "Satyam Shivam Sundaram". Here it is basically
in the form of a beautiful bhajan sung in the praise of Lord Krishna.

  • This song brings peace to my soul and mind.

  • On Listening the bhajan of The Little Mischeivous Krishna, It brings tears to my eyes. It is so beautiful

  • Hinduon, Maa Yashoda tells little Lord Krishna he's dark because of the jadu of the Kali Nainowali (the dark-eyed Radhika). Krishna, being Consciousness personified, is ever enchanted with Radha (who is material existence and shakti personified). Our existence is filled with color, but all know that all colors combined create black. In the same way, the shining Radha is the light that reveals Consciousness to be one, solid, unchanging, beautiful color. Hare Krishna!

  • @harish2309 This is because Krishna isn't (often) depicted as he is described in scriptures. The scriptures explicitly express Lord Vishnu, Krishna, and Rama to have black-bluish skin color. Blue is just, artistically, an easier color to work with when drawing faces/bodies etc.

  • this is an awesome song.. But the lyrics make little sense. Krishna doesn't appear dark in any of the pictures. So why does consider himself kala ???

  • jai shri krishna

  • @avidesha: Radhey Radhey! If you scroll down, someone has translated this bhajan (about 6 months ago).

  • can someone give me the meaning of this bhajans

  • hey whoss da singer
