This is little ditty i did with A big South African Producer in 2010 Thaso Tsotetsi.
It was a rough time for my family and it was a late night in the studio so this was born. Enjoy!

The couple on the streets no shoes on their feet
They're arguing
TV couples too, characters like me and you
They're arguing
Somehow it's ritual not just political almost habitual round these parts ritual
Arguing

Everyone's got green fever, ching-ching people bling government
Everyone's a comedian
But they don't understand that the jokes on them
I'm just trying to make sense of it all
Feeling a beat as it rises and falls
If everyone's a comedian can my RnB stay bohemian?

I'm not a charity I work for every pay out
I'm in it for the music not in it for the handout
And if for the music can provide a way out
Then I'm working very hard trying to stand out
I'm ready for the world is it ready for me?
I'll sing for my supper, I sing to be strong
I'm trying to find somewhere I belong
