Disney's Polynesian Resort "Strolling the Grounds"

As promised to another fellow Disnoid, I decided to post another one of my video collages of a Disney Resort. I have never had enough money at one time to actually stay at the Polynesian Resort, but I have eaten breakfast and dinner there so many times, it almost feels like I have. Its a lovely place, and after all of these years, it still maintains its' cute 70's style décor. I simply adore what little bits are left unchanged in the Walt Disney World resort. This place still looks almost exactly the same as it did back when it opened in 1971.
So now, here's a poor man's tour of the nicest little sample South Seas living that Disney has to offer.

they used to have different music for each of the hotels on the WDW site, but have taken it down. sad, cause it added to the feel of the place.

I guess they just didn't feel it was still needed to sell reservations any more. =-/

Now as far as ambiance music AT the resorts go, I miss the Cajun style fiddle music they used to play in the lobby at P.O. Riverside. I think too many people complained that they just didn't identify with it.

Best hotel Ive stayed in, go back every year. Used to be alot quieter though :(

A very well done video of one of Disney's best resorts. My family and I stayed there many times in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. My son now lives about 15 miles from it and he and his wife go there regularly/ as you do not have to be a resort guest to visit there or use its fine restaurants.

I am no longer well enough to go there from Michigan anymore, so thank you so much for this tour of one of my best memories.

We're just like you, probably won't ever be able to afford staying there, but we also will make a point to always visit the Poly! We ate at Kona Cafe and walked the grounds during our last trip, and can't wait to do it again! It's a fun place! O'hana's for dinner is next on the agenda.

I have pretty much done every pool at the resort. My fav is the one at Coronado Springs.

OMG u have to try the beach and yacht club!! Next time u guys have to go there! their pool is 3 frikin acres!!!!!!!!
