This video will show you how to change the inner spring on a Kimber ultra carry 1911 recoil assembly. Kimber recommends replacement of the "recoil spring" every 1800 rounds according the manual. However, if you call them that's generally only for the outer spring. The inner spring is generally good for several thousand rounds. You can pick up the spring set here:

Or buy just the outer springs here:

  • My enjoyment of these videos is odd given that I own no guns of any kind... well done!

  • @tibaal89 hah, go watch contagion, maybe you'll make your first purchase. =)

  • @wishbone1138 Ha! I'm not going to based on any doomsday BS, but I just might... some experiences of late have peaked my interest into learning/owning.

  • @tibaal89 hah point taken, no doomsday necessary. Look at the riots in the UK or read up on what happened during Katrina. No reason to live in fear, but having the tools to protect yourself if ever necessary can be nice. =) Let me know if you ever want to head up and hit the range.

  • Wow! I thought I was hallucinating when I saw your vid pop into my queue. As has already been said "welcome back". Glad to see you posting again.

Like the torch... Review please. :D

btw... Vacation's over. Get back to work. LOL

  • @RC62 hah yeah, work starts Monday, can't wait. The torch is super cool, I just wish it worked with standard bics but more on that later. =)
