The sad thing is that it doesn't need to be this way. People don't need to suffer and starve. If all the Rockefellers, Du Ponts, Fords etc. of the world spread their money out..... no one would have to suffer. These greedy people with hundreds of billions and trillions of dollars are sick. There is no need for a single human being for having that kind of money while there are entire countries suffering.

Um, my thought is that life is not a zero sum game (like poker for instance). Just because I win (make money, have a nice car or house) doesn't mean you (or someone else) must lose.

The gentleman of the Iraqi press who hurled the shoe is a national (and regional) hero because he displayed the feelings of millions in that area. Wilson is just a jerk with a short temper who would resign if he had a shred of decency. But alas, no decency.

yeah....missed my point. you know, come to think of it, we are all mass murderers in a way. I can argue that I am a mas murderer too. I make money. I live an okay life life. But i know the profit i make screws some guy over on the other side of the spectrum. I have the luxury to provide money for starving children in other countries (even though i dont make much, but i still can), wouldnt i be considered a mass murderer too? If i can save a life, but i dont do it, would i be a murderer too?

If a democrat had made such a disrespectful comment during a president's speech,..the republicans would have pushed and pushed until the democrat was forced to resign. There would be no forgive and forget talk. They would have gone for the throat.

While your argument has some flaws what you miss is most American's think they are superior by birth to anyone else in the universe. The world is watching and if we can't even get healthcare right, people will invest elsewhere -- other than china which probably has full rights to alaska and texas by now. I almost wish they would reel in the bad debt Bush and Co. sold them. I am sick of the partisan right arguing nothing is bipartisan. Give them to China.
