  • PAUL RICHARDS was a fabulous actor with an incredible voice. What a crush I had on him as a very young girl!!!!

  • in 1970 the annual fee was only $15! Today the annual fee for the basic green rewards Amex is $95.

  • @ImagesAR The spokesman is actor Paul Richards (1924-1974). He also did commercials for Pontiac, Braniff, and Michelob. As an actor he's probably best remembered today for portraying the mutant priest in the film 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes'. Richards was a frequent TV guest star in the 1950's and 1960's as well.

  • Who was this spokesman? He is speaking with authority as if the people watching already knew who he was. Granted, that's an actor's job, but still his projection of command is almost innate in this performance.

  • 'No preset limit' does not mean no limit. Amex cards have an exposure limit based on your spending and payment patterns.

  • wow no preset limit on how much you can owe?

I wonder if anyone bought a new car or house with da card.

  • LoL, back when the annual fee was $15!
