Irving--LD Bell (3-1; 2-0) raced out to a 36-0 lead through the third quarter and coasted to 36-14 victory over Irving Nimitz (2-2; 0-2) in District 6-5A played Thursday night at Irving Schools Stadium.

On its second possession of the game, LD Bell began the rout with a 65 yard scoring strike from James Mauro to Denelra Dorsett with a perfect pass down the right sideline. Dorsett never broke stride in hauling down the pass.

After the Bell defense stopped a 4th and 1 run attempt, Bell engineered an 8-play 54 yard drive culminating with a 2 yard Kenneth Farrow run. The defining play of the drive was a 23 yard reception by Dorsett on a 4th and 4. In the first half Farrow had 99 yards rushing and two touchdowns to pace Bell to a 22-0 halftime lead. Bell totaled 234 yards in the first half and converted 4 of 7 third downs.

Late in the game defensive back Kabba Koroma picked off a pass in the flat and returned it 43 yards to end the scoring.
